The Program:Our philosophy is one that stresses playing well, not just winning.  It is for this reason that our curriculum is set on a gradual learning basis tailored to the needs of each team and individual player.  Players, therefore, are trained to perform consistently at high levels by showing them how to marry their skills with those of their teammates.  The player will be trained to learn from their own mistakes, analyze the game for themselves, work under pressure, practice good health habits, exercise good self control, and play with confidence.  It is through our demanding curriculum that physical, tactical, technical and mental skills are taught allowing each player the opportunity to contribute their best.

Commitment:Implementation of this program requires a high level of commitment from players, parents, and coaches. Everyone must think through the level of commitment they are prepared to accept, and should seek the level with which they are comfortable. Though players are not discouraged from playing other sports, or participating in other activities, soccer is expected to be the number one priority. Coaches will work through conflicts with players and parents where possible.

Team Pride and Image:Team pride is essential element that every team needs to have any type of sustained success. Each player, parent, and coach must take it upon himself to project the outstanding qualities of the organization. Support of other teams associatiated with our team, as well as the wearing of shirts, warm-ups, practice gear, anything that promotes the club will help in the development of team pride.
As a Magpie team we request that all players and parents try to present a positive image of our club to every other team we are up against. It is through this that our club will gain the respect of other clubs that we are seeking. Image plays an important role in the way other teams approach the coming game against us. A team that arrives late and lack luster in it’s approach to a warm-up will be seen as an easy opponent while a team that arrives early to a game, and is self-disciplined in it’s warm-up will intimidate its opponents. Commitment to only positive verbal and non-verbal communication will also help in the development of team image and team pride. Always encourage other members to perform well and remember to sympathize with injury or illness.
