It’s the shirt Austin’s players will wear primarily for away games during the next two seasons (2024/2025).
And we say goodbye to the Sentimiento mint kit, with its Verde es un Sentimiento saying stitched on the neckline and iconic Moontower jock tag.
Thanks to the popular soccer video game EA Sports FC 24 (formerly FIFA), fans got a surprise sneak peek at the newest MLS jerseys to be released in 2024, including Austin FC’s road kit for the next two-year cycle.

While the detail is grainy, you can see it’s a cream-colored shirt with green sleeves and neck tape. The Austin FC crest, Adidas logo, jersey sponsor, and jock tag on the front are in the same green tone.

2024 Austin FC Away Jersey Speculation
Looking at it closer, the 2024 away kit appears to be a darker shade of green than the mint Sentimiento kit, but it’s still not as vibrant as the bright verde color of the primary jersey. It gives off vintage baseball shirt vibes with its signature shoulder design.

First off, this jersey design is not official. Eagle-eyed fans found the design on what appears to be a premature reveal in EA FC24. Here are some other things we still don’t know:
- Jock Tag: Is that an Armadillo? Hard to tell from the blurry image, but it’s very likely the Central Texas critter in a tribute to the Armadillo World Headquarters—the venue that thrust the city’s music scene into the national spotlight in the ’70s.
- Back of the jersey: What font will be used for the player’s name and number on the back of the shirt?

The message displayed on the back collar reads “525 1⁄2 Barton Springs Road”, which is the address of the famed Armadillo World Headquarters music hall.

If Austin FC’s history of releasing jerseys gives us any clue, the launch date will be February 15. That’s nine days before Austin FC’s first game of the season against Minnesota United at Q2 Stadium.
UPDATE: “The Dillo Lives” invitation-only away kit reveal party is set for Feb. 15, 2024, 6pm at ACL Live.
