Austin FC is 6th most valuable MLS team of 2024 – CAPITAL CITY SOCCER
While the 2023 season wasn’t so great on the pitch, it was a banner year off the pitch for Austin FC.
CEO and majority owner Anthony Precourt saw his initial $150 million expansion fee for the rights to Austin blossom into a thriving club now valued at $800 million, according to a January 2024 MLS valuation report from Sportico.
Austin FC ranks as the 6th most valuable MLS franchise. The club’s market valuation jumped 27 percent, behind only Inter Miami and LAFC in 1-year value change.

A team’s valuation is derived from the sum of revenues (tickets, sponsorships, etc.), team-related businesses, and real estate holdings (along with every MLS franchise’s small interest in the league’s Soccer United Marketing arm).
In a separate February 2024 MLS valuation report from Forbes, Austin FC earned $87 million in 2023, ranking 8th among all MLS clubs. In comparison, Houston and Dallas each had revenue of $45 million last year.
Austin FC appears to show no signs of slowing in 2024. Season tickets are sold out for the upcoming season, more sponsorship deals have been signed in the offseason, and Verde Square—a four-building complex at Q2 Stadium with offices, apartments, retail, and a hotel—could move forward this year.
