Austin FC players react on social media to first round playoff win against RSL – CAPITAL CITY SOCCER
Austin FC moves on to the Western Conference Semifinals after Brad Stuver’s heroics won a PK shootout 3-1. The game ended 2-2 in regulation time after a chaotic last gasp by ATX. Just when it looked as though Austin would come up short against a 10-man RSL squad, Emi Rigoni won a penalty kick in stoppage time. Driussi converted the ensuing penalty kick (for his second goal) to tie the score with only moments remaining in the match.
Austin FC next faces the winner between FC Dallas and Minnesota United FC on Oct. 23 at Q2 Stadium.
