Austin FC preseason schedule: 7 games to gear up for 2024 – CAPITAL CITY SOCCER
The Verde boys are back!
Austin FC has a six-week preseason to prepare for the club’s 2024 MLS campaign—set to kick off against Minnesota United on Feb. 24 at Q2 Stadium.
Players report to St. David’s Performance Center on Saturday, Jan. 13 for physicals. The team’s first full day of training will be held on Monday, Jan. 15. Preseason was moved back a week compared to last year.
It will be the first camp for new Austin FC players Jader Obrian and Stefan Cleveland. But seriously, where are all our signings this offseason? Could be a busy week leading up to the start of training. One week out, 15 of 18 slots are filled on the senior roster.
Like last year’s preseason, Austin FC will play friendlies against Philadelphia Union, FC Cincinnati, and Louisville City (USL). New this year: Austin will play in the Coachella Valley Invitational to face Chicago, LA Galaxy, and NY Red Bulls in Indio, CA—fans can buy passes on the website to go to these games.

The Verde wrap up their 2024 preseason schedule with a friendly against New York City FC at home one week before the regular season starts. Sorry Verde fans, preseason matches in Austin will be closed to the public…unless you can find a good vantage point. 😉
