Austin FC players react on social media to 4-1 thrashing of Minnesota – CAPITAL CITY SOCCER

What a night for Austin FC as Diego Fagundez, Sebastian Driussi (x2), and Emi Rigoni all scored goals to run away with the match against the Loons. It didn’t start out that way though.

Here’s Josh Wolff’s take on it in his post-game press conference.

“They’re [Minnesota] an aggressive team. They’re probably even more aggressive at home. We weathered the storm. I don’t think it was our brightest start. After we got past the first 15-20 minutes, I think we grew into the game. I thought we scored some fantastic goals. Great contributions from Sebastian today…the whole group…Dani did a great job…Diego contributed…Emi was able to grab a goal. To get the shut out would’ve been really fulfilling for the guys. Ten points and 11 goals in the last four [games] and only giving up two [goals]. Progress is being made. The guys put in a big shift tonight.”
